How we are stuctured

Nationally we operate to a tribal structure with Te Ora Hou centres being autonomous but linked through our shared Mauri (values or organisational DNA) and TOHATOHA (indigenous model of practice). The Te Ora Hou Aotearoa national board acts as kaitiaki or guardians of our Mauri and TOHATOHA and is comprised of centre representation and independent members.

Rangatahi Ora

Our Rangatahi Ora team consists of qualified and highly experienced youth workers who work in the heart of the Papanui community, with the community and for the community running several programmes in schools, after school and during the school holiday.

Te Kaupapa Whakaora

TKW is an alternative education programme of “second chance” learning for students 13 to 16 years of age who have been excluded from mainstream education.

Hapori Ora

Hapori ora consists of qualified and highly experienced staff who cater to all of the community and social work referrals and matters that come to Te Ora Hou.
